The Indian cricket team has suffered a setback before the series against South Africa. Rohit Sharma, who was appointed as the vice-captain ahead of the three-Test series, has been injured. He was given this responsibility because of Ajinkya Rahanes poor performance. Now after Rohit was ruled out of the series due to injury, speculation has started about the vice-captain of the Test team.
With Rohit out, there was confusion about the teams Test vice-captain. It remains to be seen whether the selectors back Ajinkya Rahane as vice-captain or pick someone else as Virat Kohlis deputy. Cheteshwar Pujara was made the vice-captain in Australia after Rahane was made the captain. At the moment, he is also struggling with poor form, so he cannot be given this responsibility.
