IPL 2024: Mayank made a record by taking three wickets against RCB: Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Mayank Yadav is in the headlines these days. He is making a series of records in every match due to his lethal bowling. In the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he gave only 14 runs in a spell of four overs and took three wickets. This 21 year old bowler made a big record in his name by taking three wickets against Lucknow. He has now become the sixth bowler to take three or more wickets in his first two matches. Earlier, he had taken three wickets against Punjab Kings. During this period he had spent only 27 runs at an economy rate of 6.75. With this, this Delhi bowler has joined the club of greats like Lasith Malinga and Joffra Archer. He became the sixth bowler to do so. Earlier this feat has been done by Lasith Malinga, Amit Singh, Mayank Markandey, Kevan Cooper and Joffra Archer. These bowlers took three or more wickets in each of the first two matches of their IPL career.

Mayank bowled the fastest ball of this season in the match against RCB on Tuesday. He broke his own record. In the match against Punjab, Mayank bowled the ball at a speed of 155.8 km per hour. Against Bengaluru, he improved his own record by bowling the ball at a speed of 156.7 km per hour. This is the fastest ball of this season so far. He is the second Indian bowler after Umran Malik to bowl the ball at a speed of 156 kmph. At the same time, overall he is the fifth bowler to do so in this league.
