The West Indies cricket team has arrived in India for the upcoming India vs West Indies series. The Caribbean side reached India on Wednesday and will begin its practice sessions from Thursday.

IND vs WI ODI Series 2026: West Indies Arrive in India
The West Indies team arrived in India on Wednesday ahead of the three-match ODI series. The players are expected to begin their preparations from Thursday as they get ready for the opening match.
Meanwhile, India's ODI squad will assemble at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru by Thursday. Rohit Sharma has already started preparing for the series, with a video showing the senior batter practicing in the nets in Bengaluru.
The upcoming series will be closely watched as India feature several experienced players alongside younger talents.
India vs West Indies 1st ODI: Thiruvananthapuram to Host Series Opener
The first ODI between India and West Indies will be played on September 27 at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
The match will begin at 2:00 PM, while the toss is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
India have played two ODIs at this venue and won both matches. The hosts defeated West Indies by nine wickets in one of those games and registered a massive 317-run win over Sri Lanka in the other.

The second ODI will be played on September 30 at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

The second ODI could prove important for both teams as they look to gain an advantage in the three-match series.

The third and final ODI of the series will be played on October 3 in Mullanpur.
The match will mark the first ODI at the venue, adding another notable milestone to the series.
