Trent Boult New Zealand Crickets left-arm fast bowler Trent Boult has been thrown out of the central contract by the board. This means that in the coming days, he will be seen playing less at the international level.
The board has also made it clear that the decision does not mean the end of Bolts illustrious international career. However, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has said that they will give priority in selection to currently contracted players. Bolt, who has experience of 78 Test matches and over 130 white-ball matches, said he wants to spend more time with his family in the years to come.
He said, “It has been a really difficult decision for me and I want to thank NZC (New Zealand Cricket) for their support in getting to this point. Playing cricket for my country was a childhood dream and for the last 12 years I am very proud of what I have achieved with the Black Caps."
NEWS | NZC has agreed to release Trent Boult from his central contract so that he can spend more time with his family, while also making himself available for domestic leagues. Boult will complete the tour of the West Indies as scheduled.
