The 16th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to start from 31 March. Like last year, 10 teams will be seen struggling in the world's most breathtaking T20 league. IPL is such a platform where players not only get fame, but money also rains on them. When it comes to the highest-grossing players in IPL, stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Mahendra Singh Dhoni are at the forefront of this list.

Star batsman Rohit Sharma is the most successful captain of IPL as well as the highest earning player. Rohit is at the top in terms of earning the most in IPL, leaving Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the top. The IPL earning of Mumbai Indians captain is around 178 crores. Rohit has so far scored 5879 runs in 227 IPL matches at an average of 30.30. During this, one century and 40 half-centuries came out of his bat.

2. MS Dhoni - 176 CR

MS Dhoni, the captain of Chennai Super Kings, was the most expensive player in the auction of the first season of IPL. His first salary was Rs 6 crore, which increased to Rs 8.28 crore in 2011, Rs 12.5 crore in 2014 and Rs 15 crore in 2018. Dhoni's salary in IPL 2023 is Rs 12 crore and he has earned around Rs 176 crore from IPL. The 41-year-old MS Dhoni has so far scored 4978 runs in 234 IPL matches at an average of 39.20, including 24 half-centuries.

3. Virat Kohli - 173 CR

Team India's former captain Virat Kohli has earned 173 crores in his IPL career. He is the only Indian in this list who has never won the Indian Premier League title. Virat Kohli is also the highest run scorer in the history of IPL. This former RCB captain has so far scored 6624 runs in 223 IPL matches at an average of 36.20. Virat has 5 centuries and 44 half-centuries in his name in IPL.

4. Suresh Raina - 110 CR

Suresh Raina, known as 'Mr IPL', was one of the most successful batsmen of this T20 league and won four titles for CSK. Raina scored 5528 runs in a total of 205 matches, including one century and 39 half-centuries. Raina scored 300 or more runs in every season from 2008 to 2019, which is a record. Raina earned 110 crores from IPL.

5. Ravindra Jadeja - 109 CR

When IPL started, Ravindra Jadeja was an uncapped player. In the auction of the initial season of IPL, he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for 12 lakh rupees. Jadeja performed consistently well in this league, due to which his salary also increased. So far Jadeja's total income in IPL has been 109 crores. Left-handed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has so far scored 2502 runs in IPL playing 210 matches. Along with this, he has also taken 132 wickets.

6. Sunil Narine - 107 CR

Sunil Narine is a part of the KKR team since the 2012 season. The initial salary of Caribbean star Naren was Rs 3.51 crore. Then he earned Rs 12.5 crore per season from 2018 to 2021, but in 2022 this amount came down to Rs 6 crore. His total earnings in IPL is 107 crores . Naren has so far played a total of 148 matches in the IPL, in which he has 152 wickets at an average of 25.13. Naren has also scored 1025 runs while contributing significantly with the bat.

7. AB de Villiers - 102 CR

AB de Villiers took retirement after the end of IPL 2021. AB de Villiers, popularly known as 'Mr. 360 Degree', had an initial IPL salary of Rs 1.2 crore, but due to consistent good performance, his salary kept on increasing. De Villiers left the IPL with an earning of around 102 crores. African legend de Villiers scored 5162 runs in 184 IPL matches at an average of 39.70, including three centuries and 40 half-centuries.

8. Gautam Gambhir - 94 CR

Left-handed batsman Gautam Gambhir scored 4217 runs in his IPL career of 154 matches. In the year 2008, Gautam Gambhir signed a deal of Rs 2.9 crore with Delhi Daredevils. Then in the IPL 2011 auction, Gambhir was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for KKR 11.04 crores. Playing for KKR, Gambhir was very successful and he also made his team the champion twice. Before retiring in 2018, Gambhir earned around 94 crores from IPL.

9. Shikhar Dhawan - 91 CR

Left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan has participated in every IPL season. His contract with Delhi Capitals in IPL 2008 was around Rs 12 lakh. Due to his consistent performance, Dhawan's IPL salary also kept on increasing. The all-time IPL income of Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan is approximately 91 crores . Dhawan has so far scored 6244 runs in 206 IPL matches at an average of 35.08, including two centuries and 47 half-centuries.

10 . Dinesh Karthik - 86 CR

The wicket-keeper batsman from Royal Challengers Bangalore is on the 10th position in the list of highest-paid players in the Indian Premier League. Karthik's earning in IPL so far is about 86 crores . Dinesh Karthik has played 229 IPL matches, in which he scored 4376 runs at an average of 26.85. During this, Dinesh Karthik scored a total of 20 half-centuries and his best score was 97 runs.
