There is good news for Indian cricket fans! India’s aggressive batter, Abhishek Sharma, has once again reclaimed the number one spot in the ICC T20I rankings.
Following a disappointing performance in the recently concluded 2026 T20 World Cup, he had slipped from the top position, allowing Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan to take the number one spot. Subsequently, India’s Ishan Kishan held the top position as the number-one T20I batter for quite some time. However, Ishan Kishan missed two matches due to an injury, which affected his ranking and led to a drop in his position.
By smashing a blistering century in the third T20 match against New Zealand, Abhishek Sharma overtook his fellow players Ishan Kishan and Sahibzada Farhan to reclaim the number one spot.
