Since winning the inaugural Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in 2014, the Jaipur Pink Panthers have had little success in the league. They have only made the PKL Playoffs once, in 2016, and finished eighth out of 12 teams the previous season.
Arjun Deshwal will be one of the Pink Panthers key players this season. In the previous season, the attacker amassed 267 raid points, finishing as the seasons second-most successful raider, with six Super Raids and 16 Super 10s.
Arjuns partner for the upcoming season will be Ajith Kumar, who played for U Mumba last season. Ajith Kumar also had a productive season in the 2021 edition, amassing 259 raid points.
Jaipur Pink Panthers, the season one champions, have struggled for success since and will look to change that in PKL 9. The team owned by Abhishek Bachchan has kept their main raider Arjun Deshwal and brought in the mercurial Ajith Kumar from U Mumba. Not only that, but the team also signed Rahul Chaudhari, one of the leagues first superstars.
The defence will be led by one of the leagues best defenders, Sunil Kumar, who has been a key member of the Gujarat Giants for the last four seasons. Along with South Korean Woosan KO, Sahul Kumar will bolster the defence.
