Indian women's cricket team opener Smriti Mandhana has achieved a big feat by scoring her second consecutive ODI century. Mandhana completed her century in the second ODI against South Africa on Wednesday. She completed her century in 103 balls. Mandhana had earlier scored a century in the first ODI against South Africa. This is the seventh century of Mandhana's ODI career. She played a brilliant century innings of 136 runs with the help of 18 fours and two sixes in 120 balls.
By scoring her second consecutive century in the second match of the three-match ODI series against South Africa, Mandhana has equaled Mithali Raj's record of scoring the most centuries in women's ODIs. Mithali had the record of scoring the most ODI centuries in Indian women's cricket, but now Mandhana has equaled Mithali's record by scoring seven centuries. Smriti has achieved this feat in very few innings (83).
The Indian team won the toss and decided to bat first, after which Smriti had a slow start and she played 16 balls to get into rhythm. But soon she regained her form and scored her second consecutive century. Mandhana had also played a brilliant century of 117 runs in 127 balls in the first ODI.
