On Monday, gold for June 5 delivery opened at ₹1,59,150 per 10 grams, recording a gain of ₹471; whereas it had closed at ₹1,58,679 per 10 grams last Friday.
Gold and Silver Prices: Massive Surge in Gold and Silver Rates Today — May 25, 2026
Amidst the tensions persisting between the United States and Iran for nearly the past three months, hopes for a resolution have now risen. Meanwhile, a significant surge in the prices of gold and silver is being observed on Monday. On one hand, silver prices are witnessing an increase of over 1.5 percent; on the other, gold prices are also recording a rise of approximately 0.40 percent.
As of 9:41 AM on Monday, gold was trading at ₹159,300 per 10 grams—marking an increase of 0.39 percent, or ₹621. In contrast, silver prices were trading at ₹276,060 per kilogram, reflecting a rise of 1.55 percent, or ₹4,214.
Gold Prices Rise by Up to ₹821-
On Monday—the first trading day of the week—gold for June 5 delivery opened at ₹159,150 per 10 grams. This was ₹471 higher than the closing price of ₹158,679 per 10 grams recorded last Friday. During today's trading session, gold prices fluctuated between an intraday high of ₹159,500 per 10 grams and an intraday low of ₹159,014 per 10 grams. In other words, compared to the previous session, gold prices witnessed a surge of up to ₹821 today.
Silver Prices Jump by ₹5,000-
Similarly, silver for July 3 delivery opened today at ₹276,683 per kilogram—which was ₹4,837 higher than last Friday's closing price of ₹271,846 per kilogram. During today's trading, silver prices ranged from an intraday high of ₹276,888 per kilogram to an intraday low of ₹275,428 per kilogram. Consequently, compared to the previous session, silver prices rose by up to ₹5,042 today.
Current Gold and Silver Rates in the Bullion Market-
It is worth noting that last Friday, in the Delhi bullion market, the price of 99.9% pure gold fell by ₹600 to close at ₹164,900 per 10 grams. Meanwhile, silver prices closed unchanged at ₹271,000 per kilogram. It should also be noted that both the MCX and the physical bullion markets remain closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
