In UP, the Yogi government is providing free residential coaching for IAS and PCS examinations to economically weaker youth belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories. Apply online by June 18 for the 865 available seats.
Yogi Government Launches Free Residential IAS & PCS Coaching for UP Youth
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Social Welfare Department's free residential coaching program for IAS and PCS examinations is emerging as a new ray of hope for the youth. Under this residential coaching scheme, set to commence in August 2026, economically weaker candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will be provided the opportunity to prepare for administrative services.
Enthusiasm regarding this initiative is clearly visible among the youth. The consistently increasing participation in the online application process stands as a testament to its growing popularity.
Training Available for 865 Seats; 25 Percent Seats Reserved for Lateral Entry-
Sanjeev Singh, Director of the Social Welfare Department, stated that a total of 865 seats have been allocated in the state for economically weaker candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes. Of these, 25 percent of the seats are reserved for students who have already cleared the preliminary examination through the lateral entry route. This initiative will provide enhanced guidance to those candidates who have successfully passed the initial stage of competitive examinations and are now preparing for the main examination.
Increasing Youth Participation in Online Applications-
Under the administration of the Yogi government, enthusiasm among the youth continues to rise. According to departmental statistics, a total of 5,513 candidates had registered by June 1, while 2,848 candidates had finalized (locked) their applications after completing the submission process.
Meanwhile, interested candidates may apply until June 18, following which the examination will be conducted on July 5. Subsequently, selected candidates will undergo preparation through a residential coaching program. These figures demonstrate that a large number of young people from various districts across the state are coming forward to avail themselves of this opportunity.
The Yogi Government is Removing the Barrier of Expensive Coaching-
Preparing for civil services examinations often entails spending lakhs of rupees at private coaching institutes. This poses a significant challenge for students hailing from the economically weaker and underprivileged sections of society. In this context, the Yogi government's free coaching scheme has provided much-needed relief to these young candidates. The objective of this scheme is to ensure the success of talented candidates in competitive examinations by providing them with high-quality guidance.
Talent Finds a Better Platform Under the Yogi Government-
It is noteworthy that the Social Welfare Department, under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is preparing to conduct the selection process and classes with complete transparency. A key priority of the Yogi government is to ensure that financial constraints do not stand in the way of any talented student's dreams. With this objective in mind, free coaching, study materials, and expert guidance are being provided.
This initiative by the Yogi government is not only opening new avenues of opportunity for the youth but is also strengthening social inclusion within the administrative services.
