IND vs NZ 2nd ODI Match abandoned due to rain, New Zealand leads 1-0 in series, India scored 82 runs in 12.5 overs

The second match of the ODI series between India and New Zealand has been called off due to rain. It had been raining since this morning at Hamilton's ground. Although the rain stopped before the match, the toss was delayed due to a wet ground. After 4.5 overs of play, the rain returned. When the match resumed, 21 overs were cut from both innings. After 12.5 overs of play, the rain returned and the match was abandoned.

With this match being canceled, New Zealand has taken an unassailable lead in the three-match series. At present, the Kiwi team is 1-0 ahead in the series and India has a chance to win the last match and equalize 1-1 in the series. At the same time, New Zealand will win the series if India loses or gets canceled in the last match.

Deepak Chahar got a chance while Sanju Samson was out.

Two changes were made in the Indian team for this match. Deepak Chahar was included in the playing XI in place of fast-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur while Deepak Hooda was given a chance in the playing eleven in place of Sanju Samson. And for the second ODI against India, there was one change in the New Zealand team and Michael Bracewell was included in the playing XI in place of Adam Milne.

The match was stopped twice due to rain. For the second time, India scored 89 runs in 12.5 overs at the loss of one wicket. An excellent partnership has been formed between Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill. Both have added 66 runs in 46 balls till the stop of the game. Gill is playing 45 runs in 42 balls and Suryakumar is playing 34 runs in 25 balls.
