At just 15 years of age, Vaibhav has earned a spot in the national squad for India's T20 series against Ireland and England, thanks to his explosive performance in IPL 2026. Vaibhav scored a total of 776 runs across the season, maintaining an average of 48.50 and an incredible strike rate of 237.31. He also smashed a magnificent century and played a pivotal role in guiding his team to the second qualifier. For scoring the highest number of runs (776) in the season, he was honored with more than five awards, including the prestigious Orange Cap.

While Vaibhav was receiving his awards during the IPL 2026 final, Virat Kohli former captain of the champion team RCB was seen conversing with him. Fans had been eager to know what transpired between the two. Now, Vaibhav himself has revealed the details during an interview with the Rajasthan Royals.

'Like a Dream Come True': How King Kohli Guided the Young Prodigy

Speaking emotionally during the interview, Vaibhav said, "I used to be a huge fan of RCB and Virat *Bhaiya* myself. When he placed his hand on my shoulder, it felt like a dream. During our conversation, it didn't feel like I was talking to such a massive player; he spoke to me like an elder brother. He guided me and explained what I should focus on moving forward." The young player also revealed that before winning the Orange Cap, he used to wear a cap autographed by Virat Kohli.
