The World Cup promotion saw Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and many big names from the cricket world. King Shah Rukh Khan was appointed as the brand ambassador of the tournament. Shoaib Akhtar targets ICC, shows displeasure over promo video
ICC had released the video of the World Cup, in which many players were seen in this promo video, but Pakistan and Babar Azam were not shown. The promo video featured cricket legends like 2019 world winning team captain Eog Morgan, Jonty Rhodes, Muttiah Muralitharan, but now former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his displeasure over not including the Pakistan team captain in the promo.

India and Pakistan teams in ICC ODI World Cup 2023 will be held on October 15 ODI World Cup 2023 will start with the match played between New Zealand and England on October 5, while the final match will be played on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
