The two teams at the bottom of the points table of the tournament, Darbar Rajshahi (DBR) and Sylhet Strikers (SYL) will take on each other in the 36th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 (BPL 2024-25).
Taskin Ahmed's Darbar Rajshahi are at the fifth spot on the points table of the tournament with four wins and six losses from their 10 matches. They are coming from a 24-run win against Rangpur Riders (RAN) in the previous game after two consecutive losses. DBR have eight points to their name and a win in this game will help them move up one spot in the table, surpassing Khulna Tigers (KHT).
Talking about Sylhet Strikers, they are at the bottom of the points table of the tournament with only two wins and eight losses from their 10 matches. They are recovering from five consecutive losses in their last five matches. Ariful Haque's side will look to register their third success in the current edition of the tournament by winning this match.
Darbar Rajshahi is looking in good form in recent matches, they are the favorites to win the match. As per the toss prediction, DBR will win the toss and decide to bowl first. Taskin Ahmed will be the top multiplier choice for the small league. Anamul Haque will be a good choice for captaincy in the grand league.
The surface at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka was a high-scoring one during the initial phase of the BPL 2024-25 earlier this month. However, the first two matches of the final phase of the tournament were low-scoring, with the average first innings score being just 117 runs. The pacers seem to be using the new ball well, while the spinners are getting a lot of help in the middle overs.
