On Friday, on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, the date of opening of the doors of Kedarnath Dham was announced after the Panchang calculation at Panchkedar Gaddisthal Omkareshwar Temple. On May 10, the doors of Baba Kedar will be opened for devotees.
Visiting Timings: The temple opens at 4:00 am and closes around 8:00 pm. Kedarnath Temple Opening Date: 10 May 2024 at 7:00 AM.
Kedarnath Dham is one of the most famous temples of Uttarakhand. Devotees from all over the country and abroad come to visit this temple of Lord Shiva amidst the Himalayan peaks and snow-covered hills. Along with fixing the date of opening of doors of Baba Kedar, the date of departure of the Panchmukhi Bhogamurti of Baba Kedar seated in the Chal Utsav Vigraha Doli from the winter seat of Omkareshwar Temple to its abode was also fixed.
Dr. Harish Chandra Gaur, media in-charge of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, said that on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival on March 8, religious rituals started at Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath from 9 am.
