West Indies' 15-man squad for the upcoming T20 series against South Africa has been announced. The three-match T20 series between South Africa vs West Indies is to start from May 23, for which Brandon King has been made the captain of the West Indies team. At present many West Indies players are playing IPL. In such a situation, in his absence, command was handed over to Brandon.

T20 World Cup 2024 is to start from June 1 to be hosted by West Indies and America. Before this mega event, West Indies have to play a three-match T20I series against South Africa, which is scheduled to start from May 23.
7 players of West Indies team are currently playing IPL in India, which also includes the names of Nicholas Pooran, Shai Hope, Rovman Powell. These players did not get a place in the team for the three-match T20 series against South Africa.

Cricket West Indies has issued a statement in which it is written that Alzarri Joseph and Sherfane Rutherford can be included in the West Indies team if the franchise does not reach the final of IPL 2024. Both Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran have been rested for this series and will join the team in Trinidad on May 27.
West Indies team head coach Darren Sammy said that we have not played together as a team since the Australia series, but we had a very good training session in Antigua recently. Now we need to integrate some of our players returning from the IPL and create some momentum in the team going into the World Cup.
