For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 5 wickets while bowling brilliantly. He dismissed Sri Lankan batsmen Kusal Mendis, Lahiru Thirimanne, Angelo Mathews, Niroshan Dickwella, and Lasith Embuldeniya.

This is the first time on Indian soil when Bumrah has taken 5 wickets. Not only this, this is the best performance by Indian fast bowlers against Sri Lanka. Bumrah bowled 10 overs in this match and took 5 wickets for just 24 runs. Earlier, Ishant Sharma took 5 for 54 against Sri Lanka in Colombo in 2015.
