BCCI Announces India A Squad for Australia A Series: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the upcoming home series against Australia A. The tour will feature two four-day (red-ball) matches and three one-day (white-ball) matches. The selectors have entrusted the captaincy to different players for the two formats.

Devdutt Padikkal has been appointed captain for the red-ball series. The squad includes several young players and rising stars from domestic cricket:
- Return of Sai Sudharsan: Sai Sudharsan, who missed the Test series against Sri Lanka due to injury, has returned to the squad.
- Young Talents: Aman Mokhade, Ayush Pandey, and Kumar Kushagra, who shone for the East Zone in the Duleep Trophy, have been included.
- All-rounders and Spinners: Shams Mulani, Tanush Kotian, and Yash Rathod will provide balance to the team.
- Wicket-keeping: N. Jagadeesan will serve as the primary wicket-keeper.
- Pace Attack: Tushar Deshpande, Anshul Kamboj, and Prafull Hinge, who made an impact with his bowling in the IPL, will spearhead the pace attack.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will lead the team in the three-match ODI series, while Padikkal will serve as the vice-captain.
- Hardik Pandya's Status: Hardik has been selected for the ODI squad, but his participation depends entirely on passing a fitness test.
- Batting Line-up: The middle order will feature Rajat Patidar, Priyansh Arya, Kumar Kushagra, Naman Dhir, and the in-form Prabhsimran Singh.
