He will enter the javelin throw event early Sunday. Neeraj became the champion in this league in the year 2022, while last year i.e. in 2023, he stood second. Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj has qualified for the final in the javelin throw event with 14 points by participating in two legs of the Diamond League. Overall, he has made it to the finals this season at number four.

Anderson Peters of Grenada topped the Diamond League javelin throw competition, who scored 29 points. Julian Weber of Germany was in second place with 21 points and Yakub Valesh of the Czech Republic was in third place with 16 points. Recall that Neeraj Chopra's season best throw came in the Lausanne round of the Diamond League, where he threw the javelin 89.49 meters away. Neeraj did not participate in the Paris and Zurich rounds.

Diamond League Winners Prize Money
In the Diamond League, a separate competition is held for each sport under athletics. The athlete who becomes the champion in the final is given a prize of 30 thousand US dollars. In Indian currency, this amount is a little more than 25 lakh rupees. The runner-up gets a prize of about 10 lakh rupees.
