It proved to be India's most successful day at these Games, with Indian boxers asserting their dominance in the ring and clinching a record seven gold medals. 23-year-old Preeti Pawar is India's first female athlete to be directly appointed to the rank of Naib Subedar in the Indian Army.
- Early Journey: At the age of 14, she was introduced to the sport by her uncle, Vinod Pawar (himself a national-level boxer).
- Key Achievements: Preeti is in tremendous form, having won bronze at the Asian Games and gold at the 2025 World Boxing Cup. Jaismine Lamboria, a 24-year-old from Bhiwani, Haryana, proved her mettle in the final. Moving beyond the bronze medal she won at the 2022 CWG, she clinched the gold medal this time.
- Family Legacy: Jaismine is the great-granddaughter of Hawa Singh, a two-time Asian Games gold medalist (1966 and 1970). Inspired by her uncles (Sandeep and Parminder) as well as Mary Kom and Vijender Singh, she stepped into the boxing ring.
- The Comeback: Bouncing back from a first-round defeat at the Paris Olympics, she refined her technique and soon became a world champion. Now, by winning gold at the CWG, she has set a new milestone.

Arundhati, a 23-year-old from Kota, Rajasthan, played basketball until the age of 15; however, driven by her bold and fearless nature and acting on her father's advice, she chose boxing as her career.
