Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host the ODI tri-series after two decades. In the ICC annual meeting, PCB talked to the heads of two other cricket boards and confirmed the organization of this series. Pakistan will play this tri-series before the Champions Trophy.
Pakistan team will host the Champions Trophy tri-series next year. PCB has talked to South Africa and New Zealand in this regard. The cricket boards of both the countries have given their approval to play the tri-series. This series will be organized in February. After 20 years, Pakistan will host a tri-series.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan last hosted the Tri Series in October 2004. Apart from Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe took part in this series. At the same time, Pakistan team last played the Tri Series in 2008. India also participated in this tri series held in Bangladesh.
PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi said, the tri-series between Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand will be an exciting event and after a long time Pakistan will host such a tournament. I would like to thank the New Zealand Cricket Board and the South Africa Cricket Board for agreeing to take part in the tri-series.Let us tell you that Pakistan will also host the Champions Trophy next year. The ICC said that if the government policy does not allow India to send Pakistan, then the ICC cannot decide on India's participation. However, there is no option of hybrid model.
