SA vs AUS ODI Series: Jack Edwards joins Australian squad for ODI series against South Africa; Billy Stanlake ruled out due to injury
A significant change has been made to the Australian cricket team just ahead of the three-match ODI series against South Africa. All-rounder Jack Edwards has been added to the squad following an injury to fast bowler Billy Stanlake. Edwards could potentially make his ODI debut.
He was previously in Puducherry, India, preparing for a four-day match against India A with the 'Australia A' team; he is now traveling directly to Durban from there.

- Billy Stanlake out due to injury: Billy Stanlake suffered a side strain while bowling during the second ODI against Zimbabwe. He had to leave the field midway through his fifth over and will now return to Australia for scans.
- Spencer Johnson rested: Left-arm fast bowler Spencer Johnson, who played in two of the three ODIs against Zimbabwe, has been released from the ODI squad. He is not injured; rather, this decision was made to manage his workload. He is set to play in 50-over matches for Australia A in India next month.
- Pace battery bolstered by the return of stalwarts: Captain Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc will join the Australian squad in Durban. In addition to them, Nathan Ellis, Josh Hazlewood, and Xavier Bartlett are available as fast-bowling options.
