CPL 2026 Final: Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have created history by winning their first-ever Caribbean Premier League title. Moeen Ali’s team defeated Jamaica Kingsmen by 8 wickets in the CPL 2026 final to lift the trophy.
The final also produced a stunning batting performance from Pakistan batter Maj Sadakat, who smashed 114 runs from 58 balls. Despite his brilliant century, Jamaica Kingsmen could not stop the Falcons from becoming CPL champions.
Antigua Falcons Win First-Ever CPL 2026 Title
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons delivered a strong performance in the CPL 2026 final to secure their maiden Caribbean Premier League trophy.
The Falcons had finished second in the league stage with 13 points, which gave them direct entry into Qualifier 1. They then bowled out Guyana Amazon Warriors for just 76 runs and completed the chase in only 32 balls to book their place in the final.
The team continued its impressive run in the title clash and completed a memorable eight-wicket victory.
Maj Sadakat Smashes 114 as Jamaica Post 170 Runs
Jamaica Kingsmen batted first and finished their innings with 170 runs.
Maj Sadakat was the star performer for Jamaica. The Pakistan batter played a spectacular knock of 114 runs from 58 balls, keeping the Kingsmen in the contest almost single-handedly.
Sadakat’s century was the biggest highlight of Jamaica’s innings. However, he received very little support from the other batters.
Sam Ayub scored 29 runs and was the only other Jamaica batter to reach double figures. The remaining batters failed to make a significant contribution as Jamaica finished on 170.
Falcons Chase 171 to Beat Jamaica Kingsmen by 8 Wickets
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons came out aggressively while chasing the 171-run target.
Rahkeem Cornwall immediately put pressure on the Jamaica bowlers by smashing 20 runs in the first over. Although he was dismissed on the final ball of the over, the Falcons maintained their attacking approach.
Evin Lewis and Amir Jangoo then added 64 runs for the second wicket, putting Antigua in a strong position during the run chase.
The Falcons eventually completed the chase with 8 wickets in hand, securing their first CPL championship.
Amir Jangoo’s 57* Helps Falcons Seal CPL Final Win
Amir Jangoo played a key role in the successful chase. He remained unbeaten on 57 runs and guided Antigua towards the target.
Hasan Nawaz also made an important contribution, scoring 47 runs.
The two batters kept attacking the Jamaica bowling attack and ensured that the Falcons did not face any major trouble during the chase. Sam Ayub and Jamaica captain Rovman Powell struggled to contain the Antigua batters.
