IND vs SL, 3rd T20I: Rinku Singh wins 'Fielder of the Series' award
Rinku Singh won the Fielder of the Series medal: The Indian team won the third T20 match against Sri Lanka in the Super Over. With this victory, the team captained by Suryakumar Yadav won the T20 series 3-0. After the spectacular victory in the T20 series, Team India's medal ceremony was held in the dressing room. During this ceremony, coach T Dilip gave the 'Fielder of the Series' award to Rinku Singh.

A new trend has started in Team India from the ICC World Cup 2023 and the one who started it is Team India's fielding coach T Dilip. After every match, the best fielder is selected in the dressing room and in bilateral series, the Fielder of the Series is selected after the end of every series.
This practice continued after the recent T20 series played between India and Sri Lanka, in which T Dilip nominated three players for the Fielder of the Series medal. These players include Rinku Singh, Riyan Parag and Ravi Bishnoi. Coach Dilip asked former Netherlands cricketer Ryan Deschote of the coaching staff to announce the name of the winner.
In the video shared by BCCI, you can see that this medal has been won by Rinku Singh, who was given this award for excellent fielding. At the beginning of this video, Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Pant are saying that we already know who will win this medal, Dilip Bhai is creating suspense. After Rinku Singh won the medal, all the players encouraged him by singing the song 'Badhaai Ho and Jashn'.
