Speaking to 'Test Match Special' after the day's play concluded, Ollie Robinson recounted this amusing incident. Robinson said, "It was Josh's idea. When he suggested it, I immediately agreed that we should definitely do it it would be brilliant. You don't see two halves of a cut cricket ball every day. It’s something we’ll remember for the rest of our lives."
Reflecting on his excellent form and the joy of recently becoming a father, Robinson remarked that this performance on the field held special personal significance for him.
Having bowled Pakistan out cheaply on the opening day, England has established a firm grip on the match. It remains to be seen how well England's batsmen can capitalize on this excellent start.
