IND vs CHN: India defeated China to win the Asian Champions Trophy title: India managed to defeat China after Jugraj Singh scored a field goal in the fourth quarter.
Defending champions India won the Asian Champions Trophy 2024 with a thrilling 1-0 win against China on Tuesday.
This is the fifth time in history that India has won the tournament, having previously won the trophy in 2011, 2016, 2018 and 2023. The second most successful team in the competition is Pakistan, which has won the trophy three times. South Korea won the title in 2021.

India quickly established a smooth passing tempo, which helped them dominate China in the opening quarter and gain the majority of ball possession. Had it not been for the Chinese goalkeeper, India would have been ahead by at least 2 or 3 points by the end of the second quarter. However, after half-time, China went on the offensive in the third quarter and came very close to scoring.
