Jacintha Kalyan's career journey is no less than an inspiration. Moving from being a receptionist to handling administrative responsibilities and now taking up the position of Pitch Curator is truly remarkable. Having been associated with the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) for over 30 years, Jacintha created history by becoming the country's first woman pitch curator, breaking a year-old stereotype.
Born in Harrowbelle village, about 80 km from Bengaluru, Jacintha Kalyan has had a journey with the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) spanning over three decades. Having initially started out as a receptionist, his passion for the greens and the art of pitch preparation led him to a new challenge. In 2014, the then KSCA Secretary, Brijesh Patel, recognized his interest and entrusted him with the job of managing the groundsmen. Under the guidance of Chief Curator Prashant Rao, Jacintha honed her skills in pitch preparation.
