The second edition of the Women's Premier League i.e. WPL has started from 23 February and the final match will be played on 17 March. A total of 22 groups including playoffs were played in the tournament. Women cricketers scored a lot of runs in the successful inaugural season. Beth Mooney, who was ruled out of the inaugural season due to injury, will be looking to continue her impressive form where she has scored 2 centuries and 22 fifties in 95 matches in T20 cricket. The 30-year-old Mouni will also have the additional responsibility of captaining the Gujarat giants on her shoulders and the Australian team always shines in the toughest of conditions.

19 year old Titash Sadhu has impressed everyone with his bowling at the international level in recent times. After his brilliant performance in the Under-19 World Cup, Delhi Capitals bought him in last season's auction, but he was not given a chance in a single match. In last year's Asian Games final, Titash took 4 wickets for just 6 runs and played an important role in India winning the gold medal. It is expected that Titash Sadhu will perform very well in WPL 2024 also.

Sri Lanka's legendary all-rounder Chamari Atapattu, who was not sold in the WPL 2024 auction, was included in the team by UP Warriors as a replacement for Lauren Bell. Chamari Atapattu, who has played 122 T-20 International matches, has an excellent record. In the Big Bash League 2023, he scored 552 runs and took 9 wickets in 14 matches for Atapattu Sydney Thunder. For which he was chosen Player of the Tournament.

Shreyanka Patil was retained by RBC before this season's auction. Last season he had taken 6 wickets in 7 matches. Shreyanka performed brilliantly in domestic cricket and on her debut for the Indian team. Last year, he made his debut in T-20 International against England and took 5 wickets in the series, after this in the debut ODI series against Australia, he took 4 wickets in 2 innings.

Mandhana is the most expensive player in the history of WPL, she was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore last year for Rs 3 crore 40 lakh. But his performance as a player and captain was disappointing. Mandhana scored only 149 runs in 8 matches. Under his captaincy, RCB won only two out of eight matches.
