Tokyo Olympics 2021 Medal Tally Indian players looks bullish
Tokyo Olympics is scheduled to begin on July 23 after a year-long delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is the first time that the Olympic Games have been postponed and rescheduled, rather than canceled.
I was in tears during the moment she won the medal. Her father (Saikhom Kriti Meitei) was also in tears. Tears of joy. All her hard work has led to success.

India beat New Zealand 3-2 in the Pool A match in mens hockey through goals from Rupinder Pal Singh and two from Harmanpreet Singh as they recovered from a bad start early in the game. Indian womens hockey team will also be kick-starting their campaign on Day 2. On the medal front, Yang Qian set an Olympic record of 251.8 in womens 10m air rifle shooting to win Chinas first gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics. Russias Anastasiia Galashina won silver while Switzerlands Nina Christen won the first bronze medal of Tokyo 2020. Indian shooters, however, were disappointed as Elavenil Valarivan finished at 16th (626.5) while Apurvi Chandela finished 36th (621.9) after six series of 10 shots and therefore failed to qualify in the 10m air rifle womens qualification round (only top 8 qualified). In Archery, Indias Deepika Kumari and Pravin Jadhav beat Chinese Taipeis Chih-Chun Tang and Chia-En Lin in a thriller (setpoints 5-3) to reach the quarterfinal in the mixed team event. Meanwhile, badminton player Sai Praneeth will be facing Ziberman Misha of Israel in the Mens Singles Group Stage (Group D). Mirabai Chanu will also be in action on Day 2 in her category. Other Indian contingents will also be participants in judo, rowing, table tennis, tennis, badminton, shooting and boxing events on Day 2.

Wrong Entries in the Health Status App Raise Covid-19 Alarm in Indian Camp
Wrong entries in the health status application caused a COVID-19 scare in the Indian camp at the Tokyo Olympics on Wednesday. The deputy chef de mission Prem Verma though clarified that no one has shown symptoms for the virus and there was no positive case.
IOA President Narinder Batra asked for a clear picture from deputy chef de mission Verma after Health Report App (OCHA) showed three Indian officials with symptoms but the other app did not have any such detail. Verma replied that "no one showed symptoms and there were inadvertent wrong entries by first-time users".
"Wrong entries in health record updating. No positive cases. If you make wrong entries in updation of your health record, then it leads to the raising of the alarm by software and the CLO gets a mail to resolve it. "For example, if by mistake you record your temperature as 38 celsius, then CLO will be alerted by the infection control software. There is no positive case in Team India," Verma said.
