Rohit Sharma made many historical records as captain against South Africa, Most 50+ run partnerships in T20Is, Fastest 100+ run partnership for India

India defeated South Africa in the second T20I under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. After winning this match, Rohit Sharma described the performance of the Indian players as excellent, but he also said that the bowling of the death over is still a matter of concern that needs to be worked on. After winning this match as captain, Rohit Sharma made many historical records in his name.

Let us tell you that the second T20 match between India and South Africa was played on Sunday. Batting first, India scored 237 for 3 in 20 overs and in response, South Africa scored 221 for 3 in 20 overs and lost by 16 runs.

• Rohit Sharma became the first captain of India to defeat South Africa in the T20 International cricket series on Indian soil.
• Since November 2021 till now Rohit Sharma has won 21 matches in T20 International cricket as Indian captain in 26 matches and this is an amazing record.
• Rohit Sharma scored 43 runs in 37 balls in the second match against South Africa and hit one six and seven fours. He is the batsman with the most number of sixes in T20 International cricket as a captain.
• Rohit Sharma is the captain of the most consecutive bilateral series wins as a captain in Indian cricket history.
• India made the biggest score in T20 International cricket against South Africa under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

This was Rohit and Rahuls 15th 50+ run partnership for India in T20 Internationals. In this case, both of them left behind the pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam of Pakistan. Rizwan and Babar have shared a 50+ run partnership 14 times so far. Irelands Paul Stirling and Kevin OBrien are at number three. These two have shared 50+ runs 13 times in T20 Internationals

Fastest 100+ run partnership for India (in terms of run rate)

Suryakumar and Kohlis partnership is the fastest partnership of 100+ runs for any wicket for India in T20 Internationals in terms of run rate. Surya and Kohli shared a 102-run partnership in 42 balls. Both of them scored runs at a run rate of 14.57. Earlier this record was in the name of the pair of Rahul and Dhoni. The duo shared a 49-ball 107-run partnership against West Indies at Lauderhill in 2016. Then both had added runs at a run rate of 13.10.
