Jasprit Bumrah performed well in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia and is now nominated for the ICC Player of the Month Award.
Bumrah took 22 wickets in three Tests in December at an average of 14.22 and the 31-year-old has 32 wickets in five Tests. India pacer Jasprit Bumrah was on Tuesday nominated for the ICC Men's Player of the Month award for December 2024 for his stellar performance against Australia in the recently-concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Bumrah had to leave the field due to back spasms during Australia's second innings in Sydney. His impressive spell included nine wickets in the Brisbane and Melbourne Tests, which played a key role in keeping India in the contest.

Apart from Bumrah, the other nominees for the award include Pat Cummins, who helped Australia to a 3-1 series win over India, and South African seamer Dane Paterson. The Australian pacer has been in scintillating form, taking 17 wickets in three Tests against India at an average of 17.64. His best bowling performance came in Adelaide when he took five for 57 to help the hosts register a 10-wicket win, and also contributed with the bat through crucial knocks of 49 and 41 in Melbourne.
Paterson's bowling efforts, who took 13 wickets at an average of 16.92 against Sri Lanka and Pakistan, were crucial in South Africa's successful campaign to make it to the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia later this year.
