Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has announced the player who will replace the injured Jamie Overton for the IPL 2026 season. The franchise has signed Duanne Olivier. Duanne is a fast-bowling all-rounder from South Africa. He plays T20 International cricket for South Africa. CSK has acquired the 25-year-old Duanne for a sum of ₹75 lakh. Jamie Overton IPL Performance
Overton delivered a stellar performance for Chennai throughout the entire season, excelling with both bat and ball. He played 13 matches during this campaign. Across 13 bowling innings in these matches, he claimed 14 wickets at an average of 23.71, with his best bowling figures being 4/18. His economy rate stood at 9.76. With the bat, Overton scored 136 runs in 8 innings at an average of 34, with a highest score of 43*.
"Reece Topley has been named as the replacement for the injured Jamie Overton." The release further stated that Overton has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to an injury to his right thigh. Chennai had also issued an update regarding Overton's injury; however, that update did not specify that he would miss the entire season. This has now been confirmed.

In the T20 format, he has amassed 681 runs at a strike rate of over 140.
