Sri Lanka has to play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh from March 22, but before that the team has suffered a big setback. The ICC has suspended all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh for violating the code of conduct.
Wanindu Hasaranga suspended by ICC: Hasaranga was found guilty of violating Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the last match of the recently concluded three-match ODI series. The incident occurred in the 37th over, when he snatched his cap from the umpire and mocked the umpiring during the match.
After this action of Hasaranga, ICC fined him 50 percent of the match fee. Also got 3 demerit points. Due to which Hasaranga has got 8 demerit points in a period of 24 months. After this, ICC took strict action and suspended him for two test matches.
