Abu Dhabi: Umran Malik broke his own record on 6th October to bowl the fastest delivery of the Indian Premier League 2021 season so far. The 21-year-old speed magician clocked 153 kph against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi. With that, Malik now has bowled the fastest ball bowled by an Indian ever in the IPL. The last record was held by Navdeep Saini who had bowled 152.85 kph previously.
The over in which he bowled the fastest ball, he had two more deliveries ahead of it, which were 151 and 152 kph.

It was Umrans night as he picked up his maiden IPL wicket. He bowled a short ball and took the wicket of KS Bharat who gave a simple catch to the wicket-keeper straight into the hands of Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps.
Umran, who made his IPL debut last week, caught the attention of cricket fans in his very first game as he bowled a delivery that was clocked at 151.03
