In the IPL players auction 2024, DC bought England batsman Harry Brook for Rs 4 crore. Brook, who was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad SRH ahead of the auction, became the focal point of the bidding war between DC and Rajasthan Royals.
DC head coach Ricky Ponting was pleasantly surprised when he bought Harry Brook for Rs 4 crore, keeping in mind his base price of Rs 2 crore. Ponting commented, We had some players we wanted. We were a little surprised by the price of the Brook.
Additionally, the Capitals also added South African wicketkeeper, Tristan Stubbs for Rs 50 lakh, following his release by Mumbai Indians ahead of the retention process.
Brook, who was earlier bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for Rs 13.25 crore, is set to miss IPL 2023, despite batting in different positions.
