Team India is all set to begin its busy home schedule for the 2021-22 season with a series against Kane Williamson-led New Zealand. Following them will be West Indies, Sri Lanka, and South Africa for fairly medium-length tours.
Virat Kohli and company don’t have any breathing starting from the upcoming IPL 2021. Once the league ends, the T20 World Cup begins which will also be Kohli’s last event as a T20I captain of the squad. Without any respite, the team will begin their short series against the Kiwis.
New Zealand and Sri Lanka will tour India for 2 Tests and 3 T20Is each in Nov. 2021 and March 2022 respectively. West Indies will visit India for 3 ODIs some T20Is in February 2022. In b/w the home season, India will also tour South Africa in Dec-Jan for an all-formats series.
Mumbai and Kanpur will be the two venues for the two tests against NZ while Mohali and Bengaluru are venues for two tests against Sri Lanka. Both series will be part of WTC 2021-23.
