Following a six-week election, which saw the counting of all 640 million votes cast in India, the greatest democratic exercise in history and the globe has produced some startling results.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 240 seats. Still, they were short of the 272 seats needed for a majority in the Lok Sabha, the lower chamber of the Indian parliament with 543 members. The BJP has won 283 seats and is still in the majority thanks to its partners.

It is noteworthy that in several constituencies, the BJP has consistently prevailed. Here are the top five locations where the BJP has never lost an election as of the 2024 elections.

1. Gandhinagar, Gujarat

Gujarat's capital, Gandhinagar, is a BJP stronghold. Since 1989, the constituency has come to represent BJP dominance. Many political heavyweights began their careers here, including current Prime Minister Narendra Modi and previous Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In 2024, Modi's close ally and current Union Home Minister Amit Shah ran from Gandhinagar and prevailed. The continuous backing from the area is a testament to the BJP's stronghold and efficient administration in Gujarat.

2. Jaipur Rural, Rajasthan

Another stronghold in Rajasthan where the BJP's hegemony is unquestioned is Jaipur Rural. Since its creation in 2008, the BJP has won this seat many times. Olympian shooter and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has been a notable figure here, winning big in elections in 2014, 2019 and 2024. Strong local leadership and comprehensive development strategies have guaranteed the BJP's continuous victory in Jaipur Rural.

Since 1991, Lucknow, the state capital of Uttar Pradesh, has been a BJP bastion. The seat holds historical significance and has been represented by distinguished figures like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who held many terms as its Member of Parliament. The Indian Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, is the current occupant of the position. The BJP's enduring influence in Lucknow may be ascribed to its unwavering emphasis on development, infrastructure, and law and order, which strikes a deep chord with the people in the city.

Since 1989, Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, has served as a BJP stronghold. The seat is well known for its consistent support for the party and strong voter turnout. The BJP's influence on the area has been strengthened by notable figures representing Bhopal, such as Uma Bharti and the current Member of Parliament Pragya Singh Thakur. The electorate has remained solidly on the party's side due to its patriotic discourse and unwavering focus on local problems.

Since its creation from the former Ahmedabad seat in 2008, Ahmedabad East has continuously backed the BJP.
