Today is the last day of the Paris Olympic Games 2024. The closing ceremony will take place on Sunday night from 12:30 pm. USA's Gabriela Sarmiento Wilson, who has won 5 Grammy Awards, will perform at the ceremony. She has also won Oscar and Emmy Awards. This California singer received the Grammy Award for 'Song of the Year' for 'I Can't Breathe' in 2021.
Wilson, popularly known as 'HER', will sing the US national anthem at the Stade de France during the handover of the Olympic flag. The US city of Los Angeles will host the 2028 Olympic Games.
What will happen in the closing ceremony?
During the closing ceremony, the Stade de Halle stadium in Paris will be transformed into a huge concert hall. More than 100 artists, acrobats, dance and circus artists will perform, which will be directed by Thomas Jolly. He also directed the opening ceremony.
Soundtrack, music and world famous singers will perform in the closing ceremony. The audience will be shown a journey of past and future through big sets, dressing and lighting effects in the stadium. American rapper Snoop Dogg, Celine Dion, Billie Eilish and a rock band named Red Chili Peppers will also perform here.
Olympic flag will be handed over to USA
As per the closing ceremony tradition, the Olympic flag will be handed over to the United States, as the US will host the 2028 Olympic Games. During this, there will be a parade of nations, in which athletes from all countries will salute the Olympic flag one by one.
Who will hold the Indian flag?
The Indian flag will be held by two medal-winning shooter Manu Bhaker and the experienced goalkeeper of the Indian hockey team PR Sreejesh. Sreejesh played an important role in helping the Indian hockey team win bronze at the Paris Olympics.

The closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics will be telecast live on Jio Cinema and Doordarshan Sports channel.
