Japan is number-1 in the medal tally of Paris Olympics 2024. Japan has so far won 4 gold, 2 silver and one bronze medal. Australia is at number two with 6 medals. America is at number three which has won a total of 12 medals (3 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals). At the same time, India is currently at number 22 with one bronze.

India's female shooter Manu Bhaker has created history by winning a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. She has become the first Indian woman to win an Olympic medal in shooting. Manu Bhaker ended India's 12-year-old medal drought in Olympic shooting by winning a bronze medal in the 10m air pistol event on the second day of the Paris Olympics on Sunday, July 28. At the same time, Japan is currently number-1 in the Olympic medal table. The Japanese team has won 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal so far. Australia is at number two and America is at number three.

Manu Bhaker won bronze medal in shooting

Before Manu Bhaker, India's last shooting medal at the Olympics came in the 2012 London Games, where Vijay Kumar won bronze in the rapid fire pistol event and Gagan Narang won bronze in the 10m air rifle event.

After a long wait of 12 years, Manu Bhaker worked hard to win a bronze medal for India in shooting with a score of 221.7. The silver medal was won by Korea's Kim Yeji with a score of 241.3, while her fellow shooter Jin Ye Oh won the gold with a record score of 243.2.
