There will be a sizable audience for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 opener between the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. It's so bad that even celebrities are having trouble obtaining tickets for the explosive match. The fans are making every effort to get to the stadium on match day, as they want to see the clash between two of cricket's greatest players, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
Amid the game's ticket shortage, an X user posing as Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor congratulated Ravichandran Ashwin and said that the player had given her a 'Box ticket'.
'I appreciate the box ticket for #CSKvRCB, Ashwin sir. Love to see King and Thala in Chepauk soon,' the X user commented.
'The least I can do for you,' Ashwin responded to the satirical story. 'Btw can you send me those G stand tickets in return for what I have done for you?' he continued.
Even earlier, a social media exchange between R Ashwin and the Janhvi spoof account became viral.

Despite being one of the most successful Indian cricketers of the last ten years, R Ashwin finds it difficult to secure an IPL ticket, similar to many other players.
R Ashwin lives in Chennai, the city where the opening IPL 2024 match between the MS Dhoni-led CSK and RCB will take place.
But the unexpectedly high demand for tickets startled the Rajasthan Royals player.
'The demand for tickets to the #CSKvRCB #IPL2024 opening at Chepauk is insane. My children want to see the game and the opening ceremony. Please assist, @ChennaiIPL,' he wrote on X.
