Indian young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal created history on the basis of his strong batting in the Irani Cup. Playing for Rest of India, Yashasvi scored a double century in the first innings against Madhya Pradesh and also scored 144 in the second innings. He also became the highest run scorer in a single Irani Cup match. He broke the record set by Shikhar Dhawan in 2011.

Rest of India got a lead of 190 runs in the first innings. Rest of India was all out for 246 runs in the second innings and Madhya Pradesh got a target of 437 runs to win. Chasing the target, Madhya Pradesh's second innings got reduced to 198 runs.
