Australia Tour of India 2022: Australia will miss the services of Mitchell Marsh, Mitchell Starc, and Marcus Stoinis in the three-match T20 International tour of India (IND vs AUS) as all three are injured. The reason was ruled out of the series on Wednesday. Starc is suffering from a knee injury, Marsh has an ankle problem and Stoinis has a back problem.
According to 'cricket.com.au', these injuries are not that serious but Cricket Australia (CA) has decided not to risk the players keeping in mind the T20 World Cup which will be played on home soil next month. David Warner has already been rested on the tour, which will have a big impact on the Australian team.
The Australian selectors have included Nathan Ellis, Daniel Sams, and Sean Abbott in place of Starc, Marsh, and Stoinis. Marsh and Stoinis suffered injuries during the ODI series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand. But Starc was dropped from the team on Wednesday after a knee scan.
Australia will play three T20 matches against hosts India on 20 September in Mohali, 23 September in Nagpur and 25 September in Hyderabad. After the India tour, Australia has to play the T20 series against West Indies and England to prepare for the T20 World Cup.
