Speaking after the BCCI's 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Saikia stated that the Asia Cup trophies would certainly arrive one day. "I won't give you a timeline, but I can assure you that both trophies will reach the BCCI office at Wankhede Stadium."
Men's Team Won in 2025, Women's Team in 2026
The Indian men's team won the Asia Cup title in 2025, and the women's team achieved the same feat in 2026; however, both teams flatly refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council President Mohsin Naqvi. Consequently, both teams returned without the trophies. The BCCI is now making efforts to bring these won trophies back to India as soon as possible. Batting first, the Japanese team was bowled out for just 57 runs. India chased down the target of 58 runs in 5 overs with 8 wickets in hand.
