Delhi Capitals and Bengal cricketer Abishek Porel has received major legal relief in an alleged rape case. A Chinsurah court has granted bail to the 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter after he spent around 36 days in custody.
Porel was arrested on August 11 following a complaint filed by a medical student from Karnataka. The woman alleged that she had been in a relationship with the cricketer for around three-and-a-half years and that he later refused to marry her.
