BCCI 95th AGM Highlights: The 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Board's headquarters in Mumbai. BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia presided over the meeting. Key board officials, including President Mithun Manhas, Vice-Presidents Rajeev Shukla and Prabhartej Singh Bhatia, and Treasurer Raghuram Bhat, were present.
Several significant decisions regarding the administrative structure of Indian cricket, financial approvals, and major future events were taken during this annual meeting.
1. Major Announcements for IPL 2027 and Governance

The meeting made two major decisions concerning the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 20th season of the IPL is scheduled for 2027, and the Board has already initiated extensive preparations to make it a grand and memorable event. Additionally, to strengthen the administrative framework, two representatives from the General Body Arun Singh Dhumal and M. Khairul Jamal Majumdar have been inducted into the IPL Governing Council.

2. BCCI Centenary Celebrations and Financial Approvals

The BCCI is preparing to celebrate its centenary year. The Board's centenary celebrations will commence in December 2027 and continue throughout 2028; the preliminary processes for this have been approved. Furthermore, in the interest of financial transparency, the audited accounts for the 2025-26 financial year were passed, and the new annual budget for 2026-27 was also given the green light.
3. Key Policy Reforms, Umpires' Pay Hike, and Welfare

The Board has updated several key policies to improve cricketing infrastructure and match operations:
- Umpires and Match Referees: Their pay structure has been revised upwards, and necessary changes to the grading system have been approved.
- Safety and POSH Policy: A new Internal Committee has been constituted under the Policy for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH).
- Age Verification and Differently-Abled Cricket: The Age Verification Policy has been updated to curb fraud. Additionally, an agreement has been reached with state associations to provide better infrastructure and resources to differently-abled players.
