Zampa achieved this historic feat during the second ODI against Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday, September 18. Bowling a brilliant spell, he claimed two crucial wickets while conceding 62 runs in his nine overs.
Zampa dismissed Innocent Kaia and Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine. Thanks to his tight bowling, Australia successfully defended a massive total of 357 runs. The 'Kangaroo' team won the match by 84 runs, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
Adam Zampa Joins Shane Warne's Elite Club: Career Stats Breakdown
Zampa is the only spinner to reach this milestone after Australia's most successful ODI spinner, the legendary Shane Warne (291 wickets). Furthermore, he has become the seventh Australian bowler overall to claim 200 wickets in ODIs. Legendary fast bowler Glenn McGrath (380 wickets) tops this list.
