According to Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), they will welcome India for a five-match Twenty20 International series in July. A week following the end of the T20 World Cup, all of the matches will take place in Harare.
The games will take place at the Harare Sports Club on July 6, 7, 10, 13, and 14.
"The confirmation of this tour comes after productive discussions between ZC and the BCCI, with the primary objective of fortifying bilateral ties and fostering a spirit of collaboration between the two cricketing boards," the ZC said in a statement.
"We are thrilled to be hosting India for a T20I series in July in what will be our biggest international attraction at home this year," ZC Chairman Mr Tavengwa Mukuhlani stated.
"India's impact and commitment to cricket have always greatly helped the game, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the BCCI for their commitment to returning to Zimbabwe with a trip.
"The significance and magnitude of this tour cannot be over-emphasised, especially as it is coming at a time we are working round the clock to re-establish ourselves as a force to reckon with at the highest level of the game."
"The BCCI has always played a pioneering role in contributing to the global cricketing community," stated Mr Jay Shah, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI. We are aware that Zimbabwe is going through a reconstruction phase, and right now, Zimbabwe Cricket needs our help.
"Our unwavering dedication to traveling and assisting other member boards is consistent with our mission to effect good change in the cricket industry. The BCCI shall do every effort to strengthen and improve the commercial viability of bilateral cricket.
"Our pledge to support Zimbabwe Cricket reflects a shared vision for the growth and prosperity of cricket on the international stage."
