He is also the second behind Australias Aaron Finch on the list of most runs by captains in T20I cricket with 1570 runs from 47 innings at an average of 47.57 which includes 13 half-centuries

Although Virat Kohli has not won any ICC tournaments till now, the 32-year-old cricketer has filled the Indian Cricket Team with a fightback attitude. Under Virat Kohlis leadership, India won the T20I series in South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia. He is the only Asian skipper to win the T20I series in SENA (South Africa, England, New Zealand, and Australia) countries.

In 2017-18, Team India under Virat Kohliscaptaincy defeated South Africa in 3 matches T20 series by 2-1. Again in 2018, Virat Kohli & team defeated England in their own den and clinched the three-match T20 series by 2-1. Similarly, under Kohlis captaincy, India went to win the T20 series against New Zealand and against Australia in 2020.
