These four batsmen also include two Indian batsmen. From 1998 to 2017, 6 batsmen from India have definitely scored at least one century in this ICC tournament.
Shikhar Dhawan, who scored the most 701 runs for India in the Champions Trophy, also holds the record of scoring the most three centuries in 10 matches. Dhawan scored a century of 114 runs in 94 balls against South Africa in the 2013 Champions Trophy and was selected as the Player of the Match. After this, he played an unbeaten century of 102 runs in 107 balls against West Indies. In 2017, he played a brilliant innings of 125 runs in 128 balls against Sri Lanka, but in that match, the Indian team had to face defeat despite scoring a big score of 321/6.
Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly performed brilliantly in the Champions Trophy and scored three centuries in 13 matches. Ganguly played a match-winning unbeaten innings of 141 runs against South Africa in the 2000 ICC knockout semi-final and was selected Player of the Match. In the final too, he played a century of 117 runs against New Zealand but in that match the Indian team had to face defeat in the last over. After this, in the 2002 Champions Trophy, Sourav Ganguly played an unbeaten century of 117 runs in 109 balls and along with Virender Sehwag, made a tremendous partnership of 192 runs for the first wicket.
Mohammad Kaif has played 8 matches in the Champions Trophy and has scored a century to his name. In the 2002 Champions Trophy, Kaif played an unbeaten and decisive innings of 111 runs in 112 balls against Zimbabwe and was selected Player of the Match for this brilliant performance.
Virender Sehwag has scored 389 runs with the help of one century in 10 matches of the Champions Trophy. Apart from one century, Sehwag has also scored two half-centuries. In the 2002 Champions Trophy, Sehwag played a brilliant century of 126 runs in 104 balls against England and was selected as the Player of the Match.
Rohit Sharma has scored 481 runs with the help of one century in 10 matches of the Champions Trophy. Apart from this, Rohit has also scored four half-centuries. In the 2017 Champions Trophy, Rohit Sharma played an unbeaten innings of 123 runs in 129 balls in the semi-final against Bangladesh and was selected as the Player of the Match.
