West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo is the highest wicket-taker in the Caribbean Premier League so far, Dwayne Bravo has taken 128 wickets in the Caribbean Premier League. The most successful bowler in the league so far, the experienced West Indies fast bowler has maintained a bowling average of 22.40 and a strike-rate of 15.45. Bravo has taken four wickets thrice so far and has another five-wicket haul to his name.
Sunil Narine is the only spin bowler to take more than 100 wickets in CPL history. This off-spinner has so far taken 111 wickets in just 106 matches at an average of 19.87. His economy rate is just 5.39 which is the best among all bowlers who have taken more than 50 wickets in CPL history. Sunil Narine, who has been a part of three CPL winning teams, has won three times for Trinbago Knight Riders and has proved himself to be an excellent team player.
Rayad Emrit took 96 wickets during his CPL playing days between 2013 and 2020. The fast bowler, who played 85 matches for teams like Barbados Tridents, Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, took wickets at an average of 22.75 and maintained an economy rate of 7.64. He was part of the CPL-winning team for the Tridents (now Royals) in 2014 and contributed to their victory by taking 12 wickets in 10 matches.
Guyana Amazon Warriors player Imran Tahir has taken 91 CPL wickets in just 67 matches since his tournament debut in 2018. Imran Tahir has a bowling average of 17.36, which is the best among all CPL bowlers with more than 50 wickets. Tahir's economy of 6.25 is also the third-best among players with 50 or more CPL wickets, ranking him behind only Sunil Narine and Imad Wasim. On average, he strikes once every 16.65 balls and has become one of the most dangerous spin options on CPL grounds.
West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell has taken 87 wickets in 76 CPL matches for two different franchises, the now-defunct Antigua Hawksbills and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. The pacer has maintained an economy rate of just 7.71 so far and has a bowling average of 22.85. He played a vital role in St Kitts & Nevis Patriots' victorious CPL campaign in 2021 and won the 'Player of the Match' award in his team's crucial win over Barbados Royals earlier in the tournament.
